Home Theatre InstallationThe pictures show several aspects of this installation. The fronts were ported designs using the Jordan recommended design, but with the ports below the driver. The rears were sealed and there was also a subwoofer installed in the ceiling so no cabinets or wires were showing. The Jordans are shallow enough to allow a separate cabinet. The sides, back, top and bottom were made of ½" MDF and the front was ¾". The front was rabbeted out so that it was attached directly to the studs and flush with the drywall. The grills were held in place by magnets countersunk into the front baffle. The centre was purposely mounted high enough to allow for the large rear projection TV, and the rears were mounted at about the same height. This system was arguably one of the better sounding in-wall home theatre installations, and was adequate for most movie watching unless deafening levels were desired.
